I plugged in the portable charger to my USB hub that is plugged into my PC and the red/orange light on the +LifeGuard mini 1 portable battery charger lit up to let me know that the battery was charging. About an hour or so later I noticed that the light was now off so I unplugged the device. I checked the portable battery periodically while it was being charged and it did not get hot at all. 2:49 PM I plugged my cell phone into the charger. My cell phone battery was completely dead. Surprisingly enough the cord that came with this battery to charge it also fits my cell phone. Very convenient! 4:26 PM My cell phone is now completely charged. So it took about 1 hour and 37 minutes to completely charge my phone using this portable battery. I checked my phone as well as the portable battery periodically while charging my phone and both my phone and portable battery got a bit warm ( not hot ). When you plug your device into the charger a blue indicator light comes on to let you know that it is charging your device. When your device is done charging the blue light does not go out so you have to check your device from time to time to see the battery percentage. This portable battery is made extremely well. One thing that I really like about this is it is universal. It will charge anything so long as the device you want to charge is rechargeable and the other end of the cord is USB. There is an Apple Lightning cord included with this along with the charger cord to recharge the portable battery.
I couldn't tell you how many times that I have forgotten to plug my phone in to charge and then left the house with a nearly dead phone and no charger. I don't have to worry about that now with this portable battery. Nearly everyone has a cell phone these days and I'm sure that you too have done like me and left home without charging your phone and also leaving the charger at home. I recommend everyone to get at least one of these to keep in your purse or bag or even your desk at work because you never know and it's always better to be safe than sorry. Anyone that uses any wireless devices definitely needs one of these.
